Synopse
Baku in the 1970s is the setting for this almost archetypal story about two unequal brothers: Jalil, the older, is married and works for the post office. His hobby is bee-keeping and, like the bees, he sees life in a reasoned, moderate manner.Simurg on the other hand loves adventure and doesn't waste time dreaming and thinking, but takes what he wants from life. When a beautiful girl enchants both brothers at once, their different temperaments become very clear. With magical realism and regular flashbacks to the brothers' childhood, the film recalls the Azerbaijan of the Soviet era.
