Synopse
The great Turkish storyteller Nuri Bilge Ceylan creates another fascinating mix of language and pictures. After finishing his studies, Sinan returns to the village of his childhood. He is planning to become a primary school teacher like his father, but really dreams of being a writer. In the search for his niche in life and his former home, he meets various people, old friends, an ex, two young imams and a local writer. He is also confronted with the mountain of gambling debt run up by his father, which jeopardizes Sinan's greatest wish: to get enough money together to publish his first novel.
