Synopse

Costi leads a peaceful life. In the evening, he reads his six-year old son bedtime stories, his favourite is Robin Hood. One day, his neighbour Adrian, who is heavily in debt, drops in to tell him of a mysterious treasure that his greatgrandfather apparently buried in a plot of land to keep it from the communists. Adrian suggests a deal: if Costi puts up the money to rent a metal detector, he can have half the treasure. Good-natured Costi agrees.

Regie

CORNELIU PORUMBOLU (*1975) gewann 2006 mit seinem Debüt 12:08 East of Bucharest die Caméra d’Or in Cannes. Mit diesem und weiteren Filmen wie Police Adjective (FILMFEST HAMBURG 009) oder When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism (2013) gilt er als einer der profiliertesten Vertreter der so genannten "Neuen Rumänischen Welle".
