Synopse

After the death of his parents, Kuttappayi is taken in by his grandfather, who breeds ducks in an idyllic natural environment. When the old man falls ill, the boy's future is suddenly uncertain. How will he survive in a world full of poverty and injustice? Based loosely on the Tolstoy short story Vanka.

Jayaraj Rajasekharan Nair (*1960) has made more than 30 films. His work champions the rights of children, which is why he founded the charity World Organisation of Hope.
