Synopse
A stranger in a strange world: an intense debut set in the Golan Heights and an striking atmosphere from a lesser known part of the world. A Druse village on the Syrian border. Gunfire and explosions can be heard coming from the other side. Adnan, a doctor without a licence, is in crisis. He drinks too much and has quarrelled with his family. His life takes an unfortunate new turn when he meets a man wounded in the Syrian war. Adnan decides to help the man and is prepared to go against the rules and expectations of the village community.

AMEER FAKHER ELDIN (*1991 in Kiev) is the son of Syrian parents who came from the Golan Heights. He studied film and has won several prizes for his short films. The Stranger is debut feature.
