Synopse
After the success of his debut, "101 Reykjavik", Baltasar Kormákur here turns his talent for breakneck comedy, dark dramatics and sharp sarcasm to a family saga in the fishing world with a film that received eight Icelandic Film Prizes. "The Sea" leaves nothing out in dealing with the horrors of family life, not stopping until the last skeleton has been removed from the closet and the family enterprise has been well and truly finished off. In Iceland, "The Sea" was more successful than "Lord of the Rings".
