Synopse
Friðrik Þór Friðriksson's Ring Road is a renowned experimental film presenting a full tour of Iceland in 80 minutes. A 16 mm camera was mounted atop a car and set to shoot at 10-meter intervals. As the film rolls, we see Iceland circumnavigated at 24 frames per second, the equivalent of a trip at about the speed of sound, or 1,250 kph. The film is also interesting for having been taken a quarter-century ago; much has changed on this well-travelled highway.
