Synopse

A man and a woman meet in a town far from Tokyo. She is a housekeeper in the hostel in which he lives; they recognize each other, but between them there can be nothing but silence. Her daughter killed his daughter when they were still young. Masahiro Kobayashi is the author, composer, director and star of this visually outstanding minimalist drama which won the Golden Lion at the Festival ofLocarno.
