Synopse
In the seclusion of the Orkney Islands, a woman struggles to overcome her demons: Nora Fingscheidt’s new film is powerful, meditative and magical and is carried by a superlative performance from Saoirse Ronan. After more than a decade, Rona (Saoirse Ronan) returns to her home on the in remote Orkney Islands. While she rediscovers the unique landscape she grew up in, childhood memories blend in with those of more recent, less happy times when she was fighting addiction. Her departure for the city and the excessive years in London that followed ended in a painful breakdown. Now, little by little, her encounter with the rugged landscape of the islands reveals the chance of a new life.
