Synopse

A group of young people in the Estonian capital Tallinn call themselves "The New World" and challenge the establishment with subversive activities against the motorised city: they paint zebra crossings on streets at night, organize cycling demos or use car parks to party in. For some, they are anarchists and hippies, for others activists for a better future. The leader of the movement is Erko, an ex-punk full of ideas who is as impulsive as he is chaotic. The film follows Erko and his friends over 5 years and shows how hard it is to instill fun and spontaneity in rigid institutional structures. Over time, cracks begin to appear in the group. Then Erko disappears.
