Synopse

Ali, who lost his father in the war, defies his mother and quits school to find work. Through a neighbour, he gets a job on a building site, but the work is hard and the teenager can't cope. When he gets the chance to learn the job of printer, he seizes it. The problem is, there is only one job, but two applicants. A macabre competition begins for the job and thus a better life between Ali and his rival. For Iran, The Need deals with the economic plight of the country and high unemployment extremely critically.
