Synopse

Based on the case study "The Last Hippie" by Dr. Oliver Sacks ("Awakenings"), the film chronicles the journey of Henry and his son Gabriel who used to love to listen to music together until they fall out over Gabriel's changing taste. 20 years later Gabriel suffers cerebral trauma from a tumor and only listening to his favourite Rock 'n Roll hits – Beatles, Dylan, Grateful Dead - seems to improve his condition. Although Henry loathes this music, he is determined to forge new memories and salvage his relationship with his son.

Regie

Jim Kohlberg (*1957) was a writer before he turned to producing films, among others the awarded drama Two Family House (2000) and the acclaimed documentary Trumbo (2007). Music is his directorial debut.
