Synopse
ANIMATION Hand-drawn, the new film by The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius tells of the horrors of the Holocaust using the means of a fairy tale. During the Second World War, a family living in France is deported to Auschwitz. On the train to the extermination camp, the father throws his baby out of the window out of complete desperation. The screaming girl is found by the wife of a lumberjack who is collecting wood in the forest during a snowstorm. She considers it a gift from God and takes it into her home. Her husband also soon takes the child, whom his wife calls an „angel«, into his heart. And in the years that follow, the baby, this »most precious of all goods«, will bring out the worst and the best in the hearts of men.
