Synopse
Mihram is a black market merchant in a Turkish village. When he is offered a job involving the illegal acquisition of expensive medicine, he senses a great opportunity. With luck he can build up the business he has been dreaming of. But luck is not predictable ... Once again Ben Hopkins is working with amateur actors in this Kazakh/Turkish/German/British co-production. A modern tale of money, trade, mafia and the morally complex world of the international black market.

Apart from working as a director, Ben Hopkins (*1969) also writes novels and screenplays. He became known for his films Simon Magnus (1999) and The Nine Lives of Thomas Katz (2000). His film Welcome zu Karastan was shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG 014.
