Synopse
Archaic myths, Catholicism and 50 years as a US colony have made for a unique mixture in the Philippines. In Joel Lamangan's latest drama, a false priest triggers a wave of religious fanaticism with fake miracles on an island. Overnight, the poor community becomes a flourishing tourist attraction. When a retarded girl becomes pregnant after being raped, but retains her virginity, it seems as if the long-awaited "real" miracle has arrived...
