Synopse
Emma Blank is awaiting her death in her large country home. And so are her servants: Haneveld the butler, Bella the cook, Gonnie the maid and Meier the domestic. And then there's Theo the dog. Despite her need of care she behaves like a dictator, driving her servants crazy. Until it becomes evident that none of them will inherit any of her fortune... Nothing is as it seems in this bizarre, fantastical comedy. Even Theo isn't really a dog – and is played by directorAlex van Warmerdam himself.
Regie
Alex Van Warmerdam (*1952) is one of the Netherland's most interesting and prolific directors. His film Borgman ran in competition at the 2013 Cannes festival and was also shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG. Schneider vs. Bax is his ninth film.
