Synopse

In a remote Chinese mountain village, the community is presented with a peculiar gift: three years before, a photographer had taken pictures in the village, and now the villagers are confronted with the images. The photographs tear open old wounds, tell of shattered dreams, deceased friends and forgotten ideas. They also rekindle memories of happy days and tender moments. The portrait of a rural community, full of quiet beauty and exquisitely composed images.

Regie

Wang Haolin, born in 1981, director, producer. Graduated in England, where he made several student films. He worked for Chinese television."The Land" is his feature film debut, produced by his own studio.
