Synopse
Set in Brazil in 1912, "A Selva" tells the story of Portuguese monarchist Alberto (Diogo Morgado) who goes into exile on a rubber plantation in the heart of the Brazilian jungle, where he is confronted with the social squalor in which the workers are forced to live. When Alberto falls in love with the plantation manager’s wife, Dona Yá Yá (Maitê Proença), he is thrust into a whirlwind of passion, lust and guilt that threatens to consume him... Starring Diogo Morgado, the epitome of a Latin lover, and with spectacular footage of the Brazilian jungle, "A Selva" was a huge box-office hit in Portugal.
