Synopse
A raw, atmospheric drama about masculinity in South Africa's "Bible Belt".South Africa. The central province of Free State is a bulwark of the white Afrikaans minority. The conservative, strictly religious region lives mainly from agriculture – with masculinity and strength seen as being of the highest value. Janno doesn't correspond to this ideal at all. He is a delicate, very sensitive boy. When his mother takes in the young guttersnipe Pieter, Janno's life changes fundamentally. He is supposed to accept Pieter as a brother – but between the two boys ensues a bitter struggle about power, tradition and parental love.
