Synopse

Tilman König’s new film is a moving tragicomedy about fatherly love and conspiracy dynamics. André, a bon vivant, drifts through a hot summer in Leipzig between old bits of electronic equipment and no work. While his beloved neighbourhood is slowly disappearing due to rent hikes and gentrification, André clings to the past. When his ex-wife then hands over their extremely focussed daughter Jana for the summer, worlds collide. Everything changes when André is asked to do the sound for a particular conference and father and daughter are confronted with the fact that the dubious conference organiser is predicting nothing less than the imminent collapse of the system.

Regie

Tilman König is a director from Leipzig who works at the intersection of documentary and fiction. In 2024, he was nominated for the Grimme Award for his documentary film König hört auf. He enjoys working with non-professional actors and, wherever possible, sets his stories in real locations.
