Synopse

A man comes home at a time of day he's never been there before. A time when the light hits differently, when the humming of the fridge is the only audible sound. For a moment it seems to him like he has walked into the house of a stranger. All of a sudden he can see fabulous and forgotten things. Dust particles swirling around in a white ray of light. A man comes home like a tourist and observes anew those things that make up his life. The parking lot, the stairs, the full mailboxes. But is this life still truly his own?

Regie

With The Band's Visit, his debut feature of 2007, Eran Kolirin (*1974) won several prizes and was the Israeli entry for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars. His film The Exchange wasshown at FILMFEST HAMBURG n 2011. Beyond the Mountains and Hills is his third film and was shown at Cannes in theseries Un Certain Regard.
