Synopse
Greece 1984. English musician Kenneth and a young German woman Theres are in love. To pay for their holiday, they busk in the street. Then Kenneth gets the news that his mother has had an accident and rushes home, leaving Theres behind. He's aware how much he needs her, but a later attempt to win her heart fails. 30 years later, in Berlin. In a crisis, 40-year old actress Ariane leaves her husband, a successful anthropologist, who moves into a flat near the main station. From his window he sees a homeless person: Kenneth, who doesn't know that Theres also now lives in Berlin. Der Traumhafte Weg is a gentle meditation on love, loneliness and the unattainability of happiness and fragmentarily and associatively choreographs the individual paths of its protagonists.
