Synopse
In the midst of the 1920s revolution in Mexico, Farmer Elias (Mario Zaragoza) accidentally kills a priest. Henceforth he is convinced that his family is doomed and he takes them to a remote place where he begins to build a church. The youngest son’s health suffers in consequence, and he is isolated in a little hut where he paints pictures to decorate the church with. A powerful, archaic tale of the aberrations of faith and religiosity. Showered with awards at the Guadalajara Film Festival.
