Synopse

More than 30 years ago, the writer Yoko Sano published a picture book that is passed on from generation to generation. It is the story of a cat with a million lives, a child-friendly philosophical reflection on life, loneliness, love, death and reincarnation. The film revolves around the book: its readers talk about key experiences in their lives and encounters with death. The main character is the 70-year old writer, a resolute and wise old lady, herself on the verge of death. A film about the central role of literature in people's lives.
