Synopse
ANIMATION In the schizophrenic world of Teheran, the paths of three self-confident women and one male musician cross. In the city, sex, corruption, prostitution and drugs are a parallel universe to the restrictive religious regime. Circumventing bans has become a national sport and breaking taboos a means of self-realization. Tehran Taboo is a gripping, disturbing journey to the dark corners of Iranian society, where nothing is as it seems and where the public view does not usually reach.
Regie
ALI SOOZANDEH (*1970) studied art in Teheran and emigrated in 1995 to Germany, where he has been involved in numerous film and TV projects as an animation specialist. Tehran Taboo is the first film of his own.
