Synopse

Dizzying dialogues und a blood-red sky: This indie comedy was shot entirely on iPhone is a sensation and has won numerous prizes. Christmas Eve in Los Angeles. Transgender prostitute Sin-Dee has just completed a six-week sentence on behalf of her pimp Chester and is sitting with her best friend Alexandra in a little donut shop out of which the sex workers do business. Chester hasn’t been seen since her release and Alexandra tells Sin-Dee why: he’s fund someone else. Like a tornado, Sin-Dee rushes through the streets of L.A. looking for Chester and his new conquest.

»Shooting on the iPhone was a financial decision. I had a tiny budget. And anyway, all the Indie films at the moment are being shot on the same cameras and all look the same. Although the film is digital, on the screen it has something of an old 16mm film.« (Sean Baker)
