Synopse

On the border where realism meets fantasy, a coming-of-age drama explores the relationship between two brothers linked by a common trauma. Noe and Tony love to horse around and spend a long, hot summer on the French Atlantic coast playing dangerous games – until a tragic accident changes everything. Ten years later, the brothers return to the house of their childhood, where their father has recently died. They meet Cassandre again, a girl for whose attentions the brothers always used to compete. The rivalry is reawakened and with it a secret kept by the brothers of which only Cassandre knows.

Regie

SIMON RIETH (*1995 in Paris) made a series of shorts which won international prizes. Summer Scars is his debut feature and premiered in the section Une Semaine de la Critique at Cannes.
