Synopse
It was Germany's big sensation when it was shown at the Quinzaine in Cannes. A plain sailing-trip on the river Schlei stirs up deep feelings of responsibility and jealousy when 12-year-old Livia falls in love with a much older man whom the forty-year-old Miriam (brilliant: Martina Gedeck) also fancies. A slice of nouvelle vague allemande, the new German reality film genre the French so admire.
Regie
After studying film in Nuremberg and Ludwigsburg, STEFAN KROHMER (*1971) has directed numerous cinema and TV films mostly written by Daniel Nocke, including They’ve Got Knut (2003), Dutschke (2009) and Die Zeit mit Euch (2014). His two-parter Neu in Unserer Familie was shown in competition in the TV section of FILMFEST HAMBURG 2016.
