Synopse
DOCUMENTARY A homage to the resilience of North American native people and their way of life – an emphatic portrait of a community at a time that the world is finally listening. In 2021, unmarked graves were found on land belonging to an Indian residential school run by the Catholic Church in Canada. After decades of silence, the forced separation, assimilation and abuse experienced by many children who lived in these boarding schools finally came to light. The two film-makers have long experience in activism and journalism, and weave several strands together in this poetic, heart-rending story.
