Synopse
Mauricio Raúl Kagel, born in 1931 in Buenos Aires,is considered one of the most important composers of our time. He lived in Germany since the late 1950s. Argentine filmmaker Gastón Solnicki accompanied the artist on his first visit to Argentina in over 40 years, documenting his work with the Ensamble Süden, an orchestra of young musicians committed to performing Kagel's work. A film not only for appreciators of contemporary classical music. Mauricio Raúl Kagel dies on September 17 2008 in Cologne.
Regie
Gastón Solnicki (*1978) was born in Argentina and studied at the International Center of Photography and the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. His second film Papirosen premiered in 2011 at Locarno and in Buenos Aires won the main prize at the BAFICI independent film festival.
