Synopse
Matt Damon and Julianne Moore are brilliant in this very dark satire about murder and desire written by director George Clooney and the Coen brothers. Suburbicon takes a look behind the net curtains of a 1950s suburb and shows what happens when the American Dream falls apart. After a break-in at home that ends in tragedy, Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) tries to salvage what he can – and is caught up in an ever-widening net of betrayal and blackmail. At the same time, the masks of the middle-class, upright community are cast aside as an angry mob turns on a black family.
Regie
Besides his work as an actor. GEORGE CLOONEY (*1961) has made a name for himself as a director. In 2006, he was nominated for Best Director for his film Good Night and Good Luck. Suburbicon premiered in competition at this year's Venice film festival.Photo: © 2017 Concorde Filmverleih GmbH / Hilary Bronwyn Gayle
