Synopse
In modern Taipei, a father tries to secure his existence and that of his two children. In desperation, he takes on the most menial work on offer, but still does not earn enough to survive: his children fill themselves up on free samples at the supermarket. The chance of finding a permanent flat somewhere are zero. With endless empathy for its characters and magical imagery, Stray Dogs tells of the reality and dreams on the outer limits of our affluent society. Long, elegiac takes give the scenes the space they need to develop their full emotional effect.
