Synopse
For his new film, Eduardo Coutinho, the grand old man of Brazilian documentary films, needs only a camera, a stage, a few protagonists - and his deep voice, with which he asks simple, precise questions from off camera. The men and women appear singly, as at an audition, talk about themselves and sing a song, unaccompanied. And not just any song, but a song that has a deep meaning for them and which has maybe given their lives a new direction. The combination of what they say, Coutinho's charisma and his sensitive questioning technique form a lyrical, moving kaleidoscope of human destinies.
