Synopse
In a mix of fiction and found footage, this hypnotic drama is set against the background of one family’s criminal activity in Buenos Aires. In a working-class suburb of Buenos Aires, the Felpetos run a flourishing underground betting service. After the father dies, the family company becomes a matriarchy. Maribel leads a team of staff who take on bets from the comfort of their living room – Alejandra, her mother, lives a few yards away and takes care of the admin. When after a series of break-ins at lottery shops disturbing rumours start doing the rounds, a secret is revealed.

HERNÁN ROSSELLI (*1979 in Argentina) works as a director, editor and screenplay author. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, his third full-length film after Mauro (2014) and the documentary Theatre House (2018), had its premiere in Cannes in the Quinzaine des Cinéastes section.
