Synopse
Anthropologist Adi has been dumped by his girlfriend. To distract himself, he surrounds himself with work. He moves to Ferentari, the poorest part of Bucharest, to conduct a study of Manele, the pop music of the Roma community. During his work he gets to know the ex-con Alberto, who is happy to help him. What starts as a working relationship develops into a friendship and then a hesitant romance, but the more they hide from their environment, the more they have to deal with their ethnic and cultural differences. Soldiers. Story from Ferentari is a tender variation on Romeo and Juliet on the periphery of Romanian society.
