Synopse

Brazil in a different present: a subversive, psychedelic and freaky road movie through a dystopian tropical dictatorship.While Brazil is being subjugated by a military junta and corrupt priests conjure up the apocalypse, an eccentric band of outsiders set out to offer some resistance. Their first task is to get weapons to a group of militant nuns who live in the jungle on the proceeds of their cannabis plantation. But to have a chance against the reactionary junta, all subversive elements need to be armed - and the trip through the country gets ever more extreme.

TAVINHO TEIXEIRA (*1965) war in den 1990er- Jahren als Schauspieler tätig, bevor er 2011 sein Regiedebüt Luzeiro Volante vorlegte. Er hat zudem bereits zwei Poesiebände veröffentlicht.
