Synopse
Simon has had a loving childhood, but still feels alien in the working class neighbourhoods of 1940's Gothenburg. Against his parents' will the intellectually gifted boy turns to an education otherwise reserved for young men of academic heritage. There he meets Isak, the son of a wealthy Jewish bookseller who has fled the German persecutions. The boys and their families' lives will interconnect in unexpected ways as the war rages all over Europe.

Lisa Ohlin (*1960) studied film science in New York. She works as a director for cinema and TV and was a consultant for the Swedish Film Institute.
