Synopse
A quiet film about finding oneself again and unexpected elective relations, caught in lucid monochrome. After a painful experience, Nia withdraws to her family’s holiday home in the loneliness of the snow-capped Himalayas to try and process what has happened. Despite differences in age and origin, she finds solace in the company of her neighbour Bhemi and her grandson, and gradually finds her strength again. A slow process of change begins.

SUBHADRA MAHAJAN (born in India) is a film-maker who started out studying journalism in Mumbai. After working as an assistant director and co-author with Pan Nalin, Second Chance is her debut feature as director.
