Synopse

The story of three young seamstresses (Alexandra Surchadzhieva, Elen Koleva, Violeta Markovska) who attempt to flee a lack of perspective in the province and seek their fortune in Sofia. Bulgarian directing icon Ludmil Todorov paints a no-nonsense portrait of a generation and a country in upheaval, showing a deep understanding for both the major and the minor problems of his protagonists. "Seamstresses" was awarded the Bulgarian Film Prize in several categories.
