Synopse

Schneider is a hit man. On his birthday, he gets a call from his boss. His next job is to liquidate the writer Ramon Bax, who lives in a lonely shack in the marshes. Schneider turns the job down - it's his birthday and he's agreed to help prepare the evening meal. But his boss is so persistent that he eventually says goodbye to his wife and two beautiful little daughter and sets out. Bax in the meantime is recovering from a wild booze and drugs binge. When he suddenly remembers that his daughter Francisca is coming over to see him, he quickly throws his young lover out. Francisca for her part turns out to be massively depressed – and her father can think of nothing better than to offer her drugs. Schneider vs. Bax is a fast and furious killer comedy full of weird and wonderful moments.

Regie

Alex Van Warmerdam (*1952) is one of the Netherland's most interesting and prolific directors. His film Borgman ran in competition at the 2013 Cannes festival and was also shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG. Schneider vs. Bax is his ninth film.
