Synopse
A story told in beautifully arranged tableaux about life after a catastrophe – a filmic reflection of a war that is still ongoing. Ukrainian surgeon Serhiy is taken prisoner in Eastern Ukraine by Russian forces. During his imprisonment, he experiences terrible scenes of humiliation, violence and indifference to human life. After his release, he returns to his tidy middle-class flat and tries to rebuild his relationships with his daughter and ex-wife. He relearns how to be a human who is there when he is needed.
