Synopse

After her harrowing drama about systematic rape in the Bosnian war, Jasmila Žbanić’s new film deals with the massacre of Srebrenica – no less harrowingly. Srebrenica, July 1995. Aida works as an interpreter for the UN. When the Serbian army moves into the Bosnian enclave and takes power, she seeks shelter with thousands of others in the UN camp. Bitter political negiotiations begin which Aida has to translate – and from which she learns fateful, terrible information.
