Synopse

Glitter, chaos and eccentricity: a queer pop-punk musical that is a pulsating declaration of love to the cinema. In 2005, Mimi Madamour, a trendy pop idol, starts a hot yet fleeting affair with punk icon Billie Kohler. But not only their impulsive love-hate relationship turns their lives upside down – their uncontrollable lust for fame and fortune forces them to deal with the tyranny of show business. Soon the two are heading straight for self-destruction and overnight become the symbols of a whole generation. A duo that unleash the masses: the Queens of Drama.

Regie

In 2021, ALEXIS LANGLOIS (*1989 in France) won the Silver Leopard and the Grand Prix of the Young Jury in Locarno for their short Les Démons de Dorothy. Queens of Drama is their debut feature film.
