Synopse
Prague in the 1980s. The anti-communist sculptor, Bedrich (Bolek Polívka), is to make a mosaic for the school at which Brecka (Jaroslav Dusek), who follows the party line, is headmaster. The two men go out drinking together, andBedrich manages to get the drunken Brecka to sign a note saying he opposes the regime, claiming he will hide it in his mosaic just in case communism does not remain victorious. The next morning, Brecka starts to get nervous...A bitter-sweet comedy with tragi-comic undertones, "Pupendo" was a huge box-office successin the Czech Republic.
