Synopse

Teddy is a taxi driver in Addis Ababa. He grew up on the street and is doing everything he can to prevent falling back into his old ways of chewing khat and drinking alcohol. His taxi is his life insurance. But when he intervenes in a fight between a prostitute and her ex-boyfriend who sells girls to the Middle East, the car disappears. Suddenly, Teddy has no source of income – and a young woman he doesn't know. Together they set out to find the taxi. The longer they search, they closer they grow. But the relationship has no real prospect of success: Teddy has to choose between his new love and his old car. Price of Love is a touching romcom from Ethiopia that gives rare insights into everyday life in an African metropolis.
