Synopse
DOCUMENTARY When science fiction becomes reality: the expression "pre-crime" was coined by US author Philip K. Dick and describes the fulfillment of an old police dream – being at the scene of a crime before it takes place. Secret algorithms look through meta data for patterns and offer prognoses about the time and place of possible crimes. With extensive research and alarming results, Hamburg filmmakers Monika Hielscher and Matthias Heeder have taken a close look at a piece of analysis software which has been impressing detectives all over the world and ask: where does protection of the population end and Big Data begin?
