Synopse

Policeman Cristi (Dragos Bacur) is ordered to follow a 16-year-old on suspicion of dealing at school. The more he learns about the boy, the more he questions of his mission. If he were to arrest the boy, he would spend years in prison. Ruin a boy’s life for something as trivial as smoking and dealing a little weed? Cristi’s conscience won’t allow it. But his boss (Vlad Ivanov) thinks otherwise… In Cannes, "Police, Adjective" won the Jury Prize in the section Un Certain Regard.

CORNELIU PORUMBOLU (*1975) gewann 2006 mit seinem Debüt 12:08 East of Bucharest die Caméra d’Or in Cannes. Mit diesem und weiteren Filmen wie Police Adjective (FILMFEST HAMBURG 009) oder When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism (2013) gilt er als einer der profiliertesten Vertreter der so genannten "Neuen Rumänischen Welle".
