Synopse
They are poets and have survived some of the worst catastrophes of the 20th century: Hiroshima, the Holocaust, the Cultural Revolution, the genocide against the Kurds in Iraq and the Tutsis in Rwanda and the persecution in the wake of the revolution in Iran. With great sensitivity and often with fine wit, the film looks at the past and present of six men and women. For them, language is a tool of survival, remembering and resistance and a manifestation of humanity, even in the most inhuman conditions. Poetry of Resilience is a cheering documentation of the power of words and those who write and read them.
