Synopse
For many people in New Zealand, the year 1981 is synonymous for the"Springbok Tour", in which the South African national rugby team toured the country. The tour split the nation, one side condemning it as support for the apartheid regime in South Africa, and the other alluding to the tense relationship to the Maori within the own country. New Zealand was forcedto come to terms with its own history of colonialism. Maori filmmaker Merata Mita created a dramatic political manifesto about a nation at the crossroads.
