Synopse
Ambitious rapper Patricia Dombrowski, alias Killa P, alias Patti Cake$ (Danielle Macdonald), whose life is wasting away in her rundown home town in New Jersey, dreams of making it on the hip-hop scene. She's supported by her grandmother and her friends Jheri and Basterd. But the road to fame is a stony one. And on top of it all, Patricia has to deal with her mother's suffering and misfortune. Moving and colourful, Patti Cake$ was the audience favourite at this year's Sundance Festival.

GEREMY JASPER made his name with music videos, including for Florence + The Machine, Selena Gomez and Goldfrapp. Patti Cake$ is his debut feature. As a musician, he also wrote the film's original soundtrack songs himself.
